Awesome Con (never gone as…well any approved character, 501st or MMCC) But it’s where I was introduced to the Legions and that got me started on my journey.  I look forward to attending this year as both a member of the 501st and the MMCC

Kid hugging me and telling me I was his favorite charachter

First Contact with the 501st Legion:
Awesome con 2014.  Spent a good 20 minutes talking Legion stuff with Shep.

Fun fandom, fun people, fun hobby

Favorite Star Wars________:

I read A LOT of expanded universe books when I was in middle school and high school and my favorites have always been “I, Jedi” and The entirety of the X-wing series.  I re-read those books (11 in total) about once every 2 years

Favorite Star Wars Character:

Probably supposed to say Boba Fett since I’m a Mando at heart and the TIE pilot is a way to join the 501st and get more trooping opportunities.  But I love Girk ‘the Face’ Loran from the X-wing series of books.  Great sense of humor and a great Charachter.  If I ever have the time and money to build an R2 droid I’m putting a compressed air cylinder in there so it can shoot out beer cans

Other Hobbies:

Watching TV, palying Video games, reading.  But the MMCC and the 501st have started taking up a lot of my free time and I have no reason to complain about that.

As many of you may have seen, earlier this week a true hero passed away Lenny B. Robinson suited up as Batman and went to Children’s Hospitals to bring joy and happiness to those who needed it most. Old Line Garrison, 501st Legion was lucky enough to have trooped with him and he will be missed. Buckets Off Troopers in remembrance to a great man.

Favorite Event:

I think my favorite events are trooping before the rescreening of the movies. You get all these people lining up to relive Star Wars on the big screen and when they see you walking down the line stopping to take pictures it is just fun to do.

Most Memorable Trooping Moment:

This is two fold but at the same event. In 2014 we had our first appearance at Awesome Con DC and did Blast-a-trooper and by the end of the weekend we had raised around $2500 for charity. That is just amazing in my books that we raised that much money in one weekend. The second part is at the same convention we hosted a panel, this was the first panel OLG had done in as long as I could remember. I walked into the room 15 minutes before the start of the panel and it was already packed. I made the comment “you are all here for the meet the 501st panel?” and was awarded with a loud yes.

First Contact with the 501st Legion:
The first time I heard about the 501st was while watching an MTV show I can’t even remember what it is called now but the father really loved Star Wars and dressed up but the son hated it and they got the son to dress in armor and walk around a Convention.

Reason for Joining the 501st Legion:
I love the aspect of dressing up as a Star Wars character and raising money for charity as well as bringing smiles to the faces of those who come see us.

Favorite Star Wars________:

Movie wise it is Star Wars Episode VI one of the reason I chose Royal Guard as my first costume.

Book wise I really enjoy the Bane storyline but I also enjoy Karen Traviss Clone Wars storyline.

Favorite Star Wars Character:

Imperial Royal Guards you just look at them and can tell there is something different about them.
